Steve Hansen has had a diverse and fascinating career in the entertainment industry for more than thirty years; actor, writer, designer, director, producer, puppeteer and creative resource. Steve may be best known for his unique and notorious, international award-winning one-man show The Puppet Man. Beginning as one of San Francisco’s original street performers, he has traveled the world from the jungle villages of New Guinea to the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Kennedy Centre in Washington, D.C., performing for adult, children and family audiences in every conceivable venue.

While based in New York City in the early 1970’s, Steve worked with many puppet companies, including Jim Henson’s Muppets and the renowned Bil Baird Marionette Theatre. He has also designed and built props for a number of stage and television productions. In the latter part of that decade Steve taught university-level courses in puppetry, children’s theatre and stagecraft at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and California State University at Long Beach.

In 1982 Steve was recruited by Walt Disney World in Florida, as a result of his expertise in variety and atmospheric entertainment. He quickly rose to the position of Show Director, where he wrote, produced and staged numerous shows for the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, The Disney-MGM Studios and Tokyo Disneyland; as well as for resorts, conventions and marketing road shows.

As an actor Steve has performed numerous stage, television and film roles; most notably, the role of “the German Agent" in Steven Spielberg's "Raider's of the Lost Ark." As a producer he developed "The New Vaudevillians" a TV special for The Disney Channel; and as producer, writer and director he created "Mickey's Birthdayland,” the first new land to be added to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World since its opening.

In 1990, Steve began a contractual relationship with Leisure and Recreation Concepts, Inc. (LARC) of Dallas, Texas, as a show consultant. Steve’s involvement includes shows and attractions for resort projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Australia and North America.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey%27s_Toontown_Fairhttp://larcinc.com/http://larcinc.com/shapeimage_6_link_0shapeimage_6_link_1shapeimage_6_link_2
